Featured Speakers: Alyssa Harrington
Bio As a Consultant at Freedman HealthCare, Alyssa Harrington has a breadth of experience managing and implementing a variety of innovation and analytic projects in health care settings. Ms. Harrington is Project Director for Connecticut’s State Innovation Model initiative to advance value-based insurance design, and leads a multi-stakeholder Consortium to advise on the initiative. She has helped develop templates with recommended plan designs for self-insured and fully-insured employers, employer implementation manuals, and targeted marketing and communications materials for employers and employees. Ms. Harrington also leads research efforts to inform these materials, including employer surveys, individual interviews, and focus groups. Her current work with Connecticut focuses on conducing employer outreach to promote value-based insurance design by engaging with business groups, chambers of commerce, labor unions, and brokers. Ms. Harrington is experienced in facilitating meetings, presenting to stakeholders, managing timelines and budgets, and driving projects forward. Prior to joining Freedman, Ms. Harrington worked as a Program Coordinator at Boston Medical Center’s Center for Infectious Diseases, managing two behavioral health intervention programs. Ms. Harrington has a Master of Public Health degree from Tufts University School of Medicine.
Freedman HealthCare is working on behalf of the Connecticut State Innovation Models (SIM) Value Based Insurance Design Initiative. This initiative is a joint effort between the Connecticut SIM and Office of the State Comptroller, with consulting from Freedman HealthCare and VBID Health, to increase the number of employees enrolled in value-based health plans in Connecticut.
